No one understands this better than pro-lifers -- the people who are on the sidewalks in front of abortion centers in all kinds of weather, who volunteer at pregnancy resource centers, who lobby their government week after week, etc.

The "small victories" are adding up. I believe we are reaching a tipping point, in that more Americans are now opposed to abortion than support it; in that abortion centers continue to close rather than open; in that more people are speaking out against it than ever before -- celebrities, talk show hosts, politicians, and ordinary people. Rome was not built in a day, and the massive evil of abortion will not be deconstructed overnight. We must change hearts and minds, and we must be willing to go the distance. If we could just get Christians on our side it would go a long way. I take the 3 o'clock hour -- the Hour of Mercy -- every day at my local Planned Parenthood during 40 Days for Life. I am there all alone. ALONE. There are hundreds of thousands of Christians in my community, yet during the Hour of Mercy, when Jesus said He would grant whatever we ask, the sidewalk is virtually empty. This is why we only have small victories: because we have so few people interested in working.Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12964626473932390918noreply@blogger.com
