I would pretty much denounce everything in this post now. Thanks for pointing it out. I might just keep it and put a disclaimer on it. Thanks again CS. After all, you have been critical of both Michael Voris and Cardinal Raymond Burke in recent years.Christopher Stuarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17477722106362926482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636389828900724226.post-13084702184146149782013-01-02T12:28:03.388-05:002013-01-02T12:28:03.388-05:00I actually couldn't agree more with you. This is the link.

http://catholicinbrooklyn.blogspot.com/2012/11/vatican-ii-blessing-or-curse.html

As I said in this post, I believe that rebellion against Humanae Vitae, which is rebellion against the Magesterium and Jesus Christ Himself, is one of the main causes of the crisis of faith in the Church. But if we were to point to one specific marker, I do think that it the widespread acceptance of contraception that has caused the most damage and confusion. The Church's Teachings on Marriage and Life have not been taught at the parish level. That needs to change... Father Hardon once said that once a person believes that Jesus Christ is truely Present in the Holy Eucharist, then they believe everything the Church Teaches. That is true, but I think today that once a person recognizes that the Church Teaching on Marriage and Life are True, that person will also recognized Jesus Christ in His Church and all of theses (10) problems disappear.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16063949210549600810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636389828900724226.post-81721094861781402462013-01-01T13:10:16.106-05:002013-01-01T13:10:16.106-05:00Thank you for taking the time to read this and und...Thank you for taking the time to read this and understanding so well what I'm trying to say. I'm just writing from a lay person's perspective and sharing what I believe was an amazing talk which then Archbishop Burke gave. Writing it out like this actually helps me understand it better. It seems everyone has an opinion about what is wrong with the Church, and it can get very confusing and even dangerous at times.

I love your name. We are all Dismas to one extent or another, begging for Christ's forgiveness despite the fact that we don't deserve it.

I will definitely be watching the movie you linked to, as the Communists are more of an enemy to the Church than even to America (as she use to be, anyway).Catholic in Brooklynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02714284710110785019noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5636389828900724226.post-39828693750316885082013-01-01T12:29:27.954-05:002013-01-01T12:29:27.954-05:00Wow, just wow! When it comes to the problems of our Church this is one of the best summaries I've yet seen written, at least this is what I perceive and agree may be the root cause of the problems within and without our Church.

This statement from your article particularly resonates with me: "When we reject the Magisterium, we put our souls in extreme peril, and that is as true for "traditional" Catholics as for "progressives"."

National catholic Reporter/Global Post/Ford Foundation/Planned Parenthood/Catholics For Choice/LCWR/Michael Voris/SSPX/etc., I can’t say who might be just “Useful Idiots” or who might be “Intentional Communists/Marxists”, but the following documentary sheds quite a light on their game (intentional or unintentional) and could just as easily be titled ‘Undermining our Church’:

AGENDA: GRINDING AMERICA DOWN http://vimeo.com/52009124

"There cannot be faith in the Holy Spirit if there is not faith in Christ, in his sacraments, in his Church. A man cannot act in accordance with his Christian faith, cannot truly believe in the Holy Spirit, unless he loves the Church and trusts it. He cannot be a coherent Christian if he limits himself to pointing out the deficiencies and limitations of some who represent the Church, judging her from the outside, as though he were not her son."
(Christ is passing by, 130)

Dismashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16914455567953306044noreply@blogger.com
